How is the Woodford Community Council (WCC) funded?

It is funded by voluntary donations and has no regular source of income other than that. It received a special grant from 'the Community Foundation for Greater Manchester' to develop this website, but ongoing maintenance costs will have to be met from donations.


Where can I find out more about Woodford Community Council?

You can find out about our work by reading the Minutes of our meetings, from our occasional newsletters, which are distributed throughout Woodford, or from the notices on our Notice board, which is located outside Woodfords’ stores. See also our Constitution for details of how the Council is run.


What Parliamentary constituency is Woodford in? Who is my MP?

It is in the Cheadle constituency. The sitting member is Mary Robinson MP.


What local authority is Woodford in?

Woodford lies within Stockport Metropolitan Borough.


What Ward is it in? Who are my local councillors?

Woodford is in the Bramhall South Ward. The current councillors are John McGahan | Brian Bagnall | Mike Hurleston.


How do I submit a photo of Woodford and surrounding areas for the website?

Please email the WCC at info@woodfordcommunity.co.uk with details of when and where the photo was taken. Please can you ensure that the photo is a good quality jpeg file - preferably between 250KB and 3MB in file size. In general photographs sent for possible submission for the banners at the top of each page need to be in landscape format. Please note if the photograph was not taken by yourself that you have full permission to send it for inclusion on the website.
